Lotus Gemology’s Richard Hughes will ponder some of these beliefs in the realm of both gemology and geology, taking the audience deep into the earth to discover the relationship between the origins of gems and life on earth, and out into space to discover the origins of human civilization itself. This presentation will challenge many longstanding beliefs associated with gemological science. He will draw from his experience as an author of Ruby & Sapphire and co-author of Terra Spinel, as well as 160 articles about gemology.
